The Duke Chronicle just published an article about grad student Anjali Boyd, who is running for Durham City Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor in this year's local election.
From the article: "A Durham native, Boyd is making her bid for supervisor after serving as an associate supervisor for the Soil & Water Conservation District. Her campaign team—composed entirely of other Durham natives—embodies her connection to the city she hopes to serve, and she has received endorsements from Durham Mayor Steve Schewel, the Sierra Club and the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People, among others."
Boyd recently shared her perspective with Environmental Alliance members in a webinar on the intersection of environmental health, wellbeing, and justice.
As all you Durham registered voters head to the polls next week, consider putting Anjali on your ticket as she works to address systemic inequities in environmental health circumstances for Durham's BIPOC communities.
